Sonoma Estate

The Secret Garden in the hills above Sonoma’s downtown square includes four buildings, a pool and expansive terrace, spa and gardens all around.  The structures all sit within a stand of first growth, Live Oaks and magnificent volcanic boulders that create a canopy of shade, birds and channeled light throughout.  The owners and their design team created a “modern country home with natural textures and colors”.   Restoration Timber supplied reclaimed barn wood siding, Oak beams, Oak for the mill work cabinets and 14-16′ long, wide plank American Oak flooring. We excavated below the Main House to create a full basement with Guest Suite, Laundry, Exercise Room, Wine Cellar and Powder Room. The Kitchen has a central island with limestone counter top and a second, indoor out door island with poured in place concrete counters. It is accessible from the Kitchen, inside, or with a push of a button, a motorized awning window opens to access the outside of the island from the Pool Terrace.  This is a home to visit…….and never leave 😉
